McLaren Automotive has confirmed that its new design and innovation centre, the McLaren Creation Centre in Bicester, Oxfordshire, is now open and forms part of an integrated UK operation, alongside its Woking headquarters and carbon-fibre facility in South Yorkshire. The confirmation came as part of a £500m investment programme announced on 16 September to expand McLaren's UK manufacturing, engineering and operations, backed by shareholder L'IMAD, a sovereign investor of the Government of Abu Dhabi.
The Bicester site builds on its earlier role as the base for Forseven, the automotive start-up that merged with McLaren in April 2025. Forseven's then-CEO Nick Collins, who favoured Bicester as a hub to draw on a wider talent pool, now leads the combined business as Chief Executive Officer of McLaren Group Holdings and McLaren Automotive.
McLaren continues to recruit for design and product development roles based at Bicester.
